If you grow mushrooms past the kit stage, sterilization becomes part of the weekly rhythm. Grain jars, substrate bags, and tools all need a clean start. That's why so many growers look at All American 1930 pressure cookers and sterilizers — and why we became an authorized dealer at 4K Bowen.
We're a disabled-veteran, family-owned farm in Mayo, Florida. We run a mushroom farm alongside our game bird and bee work, so we care about gear that holds pressure, holds up, and doesn't leave you guessing mid-cycle.
Why sterilize for mushroom work?
Contamination is the usual reason a grow fails. Heat under pressure is one of the most reliable ways to knock down competing organisms in grain and many substrates before you inoculate. A good cooker or sterilizer gives you repeatable runs so you're not reinventing the process every batch.
Pressure cooker or sterilizer?
Plenty of growers start with a large All American-style pressure cooker on a stove or outdoor burner. It works well for jars and smaller bag loads. As volume goes up — more bags, more frequent cycles, or lab-style work — an electric sterilizer can free you from watching a burner and give a steadier, dedicated sterilization station. Neither replaces good sterile technique; both support it.
Where All American fits our shop
We're building out All American 1930 pressure cookers, sterilizers, and parts at 4K Bowen so mushroom growers can get this line from a veteran-owned dealer who also stocks North Spore supplies and lab basics. When the lineup is live, sterilizers will show in both our All American sterilizer collection and our mushroom shop paths so you can find them whether you start from the brand page or the grow shop.

Veteran-owned dealer
Shopping with us supports a disabled-veteran family business. We offer a military and veteran discount on most of the store — see our Military & Veteran Discount page. All American has different pricing terms than some of our other lines, so those SKUs won't use the same percentage military codes; we'll spell that out on the product pages.
