Refund and Return Policy

Questions or returns: email 4kbowen@gmail.com with your order number before sending anything back. We'll reply with return steps and the return address. Items sent back without contacting us first may not be accepted.

Fertile hatching eggs

No guaranteed hatch rates. Hatch results depend on incubation methods, equipment and environment, as well as shipping and weather.

No refunds or returns. You are buying fertile eggs, not live chicks. Eggs can't be returned.

Optional Hatch Rate Assurance. If you bought our Hatch Rate Assurance with your order, its terms apply: a minimum 50% hatch rate of viable eggs, calculated from the total number of eggs shipped. See that page for details.

Processing time. We ship daily, but because of order volume it can take 1 to 2 weeks before your eggs leave the farm.

Holiday shipping. Order by Dec 10 for our last holiday ship date.

Damaged in shipping

FedEx orders (Lower 48): we file the FedEx insurance claim. Send us clear photos of (1) the damaged box with the shipping label showing and (2) the broken eggs or damaged items inside.

USPS orders (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories): you file the claim directly with USPS. The same photos are needed.

Please report damage to us as soon as you can after delivery.

All other products (supplies, gear, tools, books and supplier items)

All non-egg products are drop-shipped from the vendors that supply them, and returns follow each vendor's own return policy. That policy sets the return window, the condition items must be in, and who pays return shipping. To start any return, email 4kbowen@gmail.com with your order number. We coordinate the return with the vendor and tell you the terms for your item and where to send it.

Jeffers items: a $5 return fee applies.

Live birds

We don't usually sell live birds. Any live bird sale is by arrangement only, and its terms are given at the time of sale.

Refunds

Once a return is received and approved, the refund goes back to your original payment method. We'll email you when it's approved.

We can't guarantee hatch rates or incubation outcomes (except under a purchased Hatch Rate Assurance).

You will provide the required photos if there is damage so insurance claims can be filed.
