A GRABO is a cordless, battery-powered vacuum lifter. It lets one or two people pick up and place heavy, flat material like tile, stone, glass, pavers and drywall with a firm grip and less strain.

How it works
The rubber seal sits flat on the surface. A small pump pulls air out from under the seal, which lowers the pressure inside. The higher air pressure outside presses the lifter onto the surface, and that is what holds the load. The pump keeps running as needed to hold the vacuum.
What it grips best
- Smooth, non-porous surfaces: glass, porcelain and ceramic tile, polished stone, metal and many panels.
- Textured or porous surfaces: pavers, rough stone and some wood leak air. Use a foam seal made for texture, or a HighFlow model with a stronger pump.
Safety basics
- Clean the surface and the seal before each lift.
- Stay well under the rated load, and remember that rating assumes a good seal.
- Keep the battery charged and test the grip with a small lift first.
- Never lift over people or let anyone stand under the load.
- Use two lifters on long or flexible pieces.
Popular jobs
Large-format tile, countertops and seams, glass and windows, patio pavers, cabinets and doors. GRABO also makes add-ons like seam setters and hoist bars.
